Supervision is considered good practice for spiritual directors; as from July 2014 all spiritual directors
on our SpiDir List have supervision arrangements in place.

The Association of Pastoral Supervisors and Educators define supervision as: “… a regular, planned, intentional and boundaried space in which a practitioner skilled in supervision (the supervisor) meets with one or more other practitioners (the supervisees) to look together at the supervisees’ practice.” |
It is also important to note that supervision may also be peer led.
